Jönköping International Business School

Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is one of four schools within Jönköping University. We offer an international and team-oriented workplace with competitive education programmes, across Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels, as well as a thriving research environment and many opportunities for personal development. Our mission is to advance the theory and practice of business, with specific focus on entrepreneurship, ownership and renewal. Our guiding principles are: international at heart, entrepreneurial in mind and responsible in action. JIBS is double-accredited, by EQUIS and AACSB.

JIBS is recruiting up to four Post docs for its Media, Management and Transformation Centre (www.mmtc.se) for projects with funding for three years. MMTC was established in 2003 with the aim of becoming a knowledge hub on the transformation of the media industries. Since then, its strategic scope was broadened to study the impact of the driving forces digitalization, globalization and sustainability on the transformation of businesses, industries, and consumer relations.

We are looking for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset fitting into the profile of MMTC, and are especially interested in the following research areas:

  • Marketing in a digital world
  • Digitalization and organizational changes
  • Digitalization and strategic management of media firms
  • The interfaces between digitalization-globalization and digitalization-sustainability
  • Digital entrepreneurship

Working tasks

The available positions combine research within MMTC’s core areas and teaching within JIBS’ curriculum as well as in practitioner-oriented seminars to differing degrees, with at least 80% research time.

Prior experience of engaging with external stakeholders (such as companies or policy makers) is considered as a merit. It is also a merit if you have social media competence.
