Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is one of four schools within Jönköping University. JIBS is recruiting an Assistant Professor in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing.


The positions comprise education activities, including teaching at Bachelor and Master level, research, and service to JIBS. Teaching is distributed over the different parts of the academic year.

Besides teaching, the holder of the position must be able to position his/her present or aspired research orientation within JIBS focus areas. All colleagues at JIBS are expected to do research, apply for externally funded research grants, as well as be engaged with business and society at large, to improve JIBS footprint in the broader society.


  • You hold a PhD within Business Administration or equivalent academic competence, (or have a set date for your final dissertation defense)
  • You have pedagogical education as well as evidence of pedagogical skills
  • You have experience of teaching in Business Administration amounting to at least on year of full-time teaching
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English, because the teaching is performed primarily in English

We are looking for a candidate with a with experience from teaching different areas of marketing with a special interest in candidates with expertise in the changing role of marketing in a digital world.

It’s meritorious if you have

  • A strong publication track record
  • Documented experience of research grant application
  • An international network
  • Professional or academic experience of digital marketing
  • Documented experience of academic leadership, project leadership and collaboration in projects, including cooperation and interaction with business and society in large
